My 66 has fresh stainless calipers and pads all around. Also new lines. It couldn't stop any better but my problem is after you drive it for a while or press the brake several times the front wheels will hardly turn. The rears are fine. After it sits for a while then you can turn them fine. Any ideas? Thank you

Re: vette brakes
Did you also replace the master cylinder? I had a similiar problem way back when and found a small check valve in the master cylinder pipe ports that were for drum brakes. If you have a CHEVROLET service manual they address this item in the BRAKE section. (Ref 1967 CHEVROLET CHASSIS SERVICE MANUAL page 5-19)On disc brakes this valve is NOT installed. What happens is the check valve maintains a slight pressure on the lines. As the car is driven and the brakes warm up this pressure increases to the point where it simulates that you are driving with your foot on the brake. The further you go the tighter the brakes and more heat build up.- Top
