C2 "Built by #1 Flint Team" decal

Does the "Built by #1 Flint Team" decal go on the RH side in front of the valve cover for all 1966 327's? If so, should it be angled with the valve cover, or parallel to ground?

    Thanks, Chuck

You don't need to worry about this decal. It was used for 1967 small blocks only. It was, however, placed on the front surface of the right side valve cover.

Thanks again Joe! Just for curiosity, I've seen Tonawanda stickers at shows, but only on big blocks. Where the Flint stickers used on all small blocks and Tonawanda on all big blocks?

      Thanks, Chuck

The Tonawanda valve cover labels were used on big blocks, Corvette and otherwise, from about 1967 through about 1971 (possibly some overlap on either end). The Flint labels were used on small block valve covers, Corvette and otherwise, only for the 1967 model year.

I don't know if Tonawanda used labels on valve covers for small blocks built there. No Tonawanda-assembled small blocks were ever used on Corvettes, but they were used in many other Chevrolets of the period.
