    C3-oem part # ref.

im trying to decide how deep a restoration to do based on how orig. my car is.
i have "corvette by the numbers" but am finding conflicting information--specif. manifold #'s.
ive found some for sale w#'s the same as mine claiming to be '71 specific-- but --according to the above book the manifols i have and have found listed as '71 's are from a 327 60's vintage---is there another source for this refernce info

Have you tried a copy of the '70-72 Judging Guide?

The JG carries most if not all judged part numbers and casting numbers, intake and exhaust manifolds, Alternators, Distributors, Carburetors and the like. I think it is a better researched source of information than most of the available publications out in the "general public"

          Kainnon------

If you're referring to EXHAUST manifolds, then some of the manifolds used for 1971 Corvettes were the same as those used for "60's vintage Corvette 327s". These include the left side manifolds used for both the base engine (GM #3846559 which is non-AIR) and the LT-1 (GM #3872765 which has AIR fittings). The GM #3846559 was first used on 1964 Corvettes and the GM #3872765 was first used on 1966 Corvettes with K-19. But, the same manifolds were also used on 1971 Corvettes.
