    Goldline Bias Ply Repro Tires

I have the opportunity to purchase six almost new Coker Goldline 7.75-15 bias ply tires to use on my 66 for flight judging and possible PV. The price for all six is very reasonable considering that each new would be about $120 from Coker. Unfortunately, four of the tires are Firestone (no model name) and two are BF Goodrich Silvertown. I believe that the JM specifies the Firestone’s to be Premium Deluxe. I’m thinking that if I use the four Firestones on the wheels and the Goodrich on the spare, this will result in a rather large point deduct, considering that the Firestones already don’t have a model name identified.

    Comments are appreciated.

You'll find your copy of the NCRS Judging Reference Manual (the 'white book') specifically allows mixed mode tires without deduction penalty to preserve those few original tires that might have been in the spare position. The four exterior mounted tires have to match in brand, but the spare may differ in brand without scoring penalty.

      Neither Are Correct.....

because the only "correct" gold/redline reproduced today, are Goodyear Power Cushions. The Firestone, and Goodrich, would BOTH fall into the "incorrectly branded" section of the tire standard deduction table.
