Convertible Top Replacement

If anyone out there has purchased a replacement midyear convertible top from one of the usual suspects (Dr. Rebuild, Al Knoch, Corvette Central, Zip, etc) please post or email me regarding where you bought it and your satisfaction with the quality of the replacement. All the descriptions look basically the same in the catalogs. Does only one outfit make the replacement top all these folks sell? I am particularly concerned about the front windlace that is installed after the top is stapled to the front bow (but before the rubber weatherstrip is put back on). Was it included with the top?

Hi Mark; I've used Al Knoch tops with great results. The front windlace is included in the top kit. Knoch can also date code your rear window. You can order from him directly in El Paso, Texas. Many vendors sell his products too. Hope this helps. Chuck Gongloff
