I believe the battery tray in my 66 is sitting wrong. Looking at the aim, it looks like it should lay parallel to the engine and fender. Mine is sitting perpendicular. Which is correct? Also, the windshield washer jar is mounted on the pass. side inner fender and I believe it should be mounted on the driver side inner fender above the battery. Am I correct on these two items? Also, if the washer jar is mounted above the battery, does the jar have to be removed when replacing the battery. It seems like it would be a very tight fit.

in a non-ac 66, the battery, when innstalled in a properly installed battery tray, will have its long axis perpendicular to the right side of the engine case.i've never seen a winchield washer plastic reservior installed anywhere other than the driver's side..mike
Thanks Mike. My battery tray is perpendicular to the right side engine block and it is a non-ac car. If I move the windshield washer jar to the drivers side, it looks like it will be a tight fit. Are the tolerences real close? It just looks like there isn't much room for the fit, but I'll give it a try.
