C 2, FRONT END DAMAGE??

Looking at a late production 65 coupe, very nice car that apears to have never been hit. But the bar in front of the hood behind headlights feels like a replacement? I have been told that on the repo bars, the hole that is right under the front emblem about 1" in diameter will have sharp edges on repo and rounded somewhat pushed through on originals? Any opinions or expertise on this would be apreciated. Could or should the bar be replaced? Bill

Later production 66s and 67s have the sharp edged hole. I have never seen a 65 with one, but maybe.
