    rally wheel restoration

I am in the process of restoring my dated coded rally wheels. What is considered to be the most effective and restoration friendly method of preparation? I know sand blasting is effective but have concerns about it diminishing or possibly erasing the stampings. Any input based on experience? Also, does anyone have recommendations for wheel repair shops capable of rally wheels? Thanks!

glassbeading them won't loose the date codes and makes for easier prime/prep/paint than the coase rough texture you'll end up with if you sand blast the fellas. mike
