I just installed undercar exhaust from Corvette Central and the tips seem to stick out farther than the ones I removed. How much should be sticking out of the rear panel? Byron

Here's what I do ....
... and it look's OK (IMHO). Put a ruler flat on the tip bevel (you'd probably do this anyway to ensure vertical rotational alignment). The air gap between the ruler and the rear bumper should be 1 inch (+/- 1/4" or it becomes obvious). It helps if you have N-11's, as there is one less connection to worry about for in/out adjustment. Make sure the slot in each tip is covered completely by the male end of the muffler, to ensure no leaks under the valence panel. Too bad there are no dimensions in the AIM for tip extension.- Top
