Can someone tell me what a pinch welt is, and where it goes on a 1967 Coupe. Also, how can I clean the spare tire tub and tray, and what color should it be. Thanks

The midyear pinch welt is the small metal trim piece that is approximately shoulder high at the quarter panel and body door jam intersect point adjacent to the outer seatback. It serves to secure the quarter panel (sometimes referred to as the dogleg)to the body jam at the upper inside edge.
The spare tire tray/cover tray is natural dark fiberglass with strong evidence of the glass "hairs". I have found paint thinner to be an effective cleaner when used with a cloth to remove dirt and over spray. The tray V bar is semigloss black. I believe the rivets to be natural metal.
