The 53-55 Guide says black on the inner side, my originals appear to be semi-gloss. The outer side of mine are body color, as original. This was not always the case, just a peculiarity of my color combination. The Guide also says the weights were normally on the inner side only. Don't use metric weights, that would be obviously wrong.
there are a thousand things not mentioned in the NCRS Judging Guide, and at least in the case of the 53-55 Guide, a few things that are just plain wrong.
