I was considering using Corvette Soecialties of Maryland for restoration of my instrument cluste on my 61. Has anyone use them before? Thanks, Joe DeLuca #37862

Re: C1 INSTRUMENT RESTORATION
My opinion is the same as Mike's. Sent a 67 cluster, clock, and glove box this summer. Workmanship was outstanding. THe back of the cluster received the same attention to detail as the front. I'd highly recommend them. Around 6 week turnaround time on cluster and clock, 4 weeks on glove box door.
They were not cheap and you might find some guys who do it cheaper, but probably not any better.
I've also used Corvette Instrument Services in Florida. He did my 67 cluster and glove box. His work was also very nice, the back of the cluster wasn't detailed at all but the instruments and the cluster were very nice. Same with the glove box. He had a problem getting stuff turned around, don't know if that problem is solved or not.

Re: C1 INSTRUMENT RESTORATION
Corvette Specialties of Maryland has my '67 cluster gauges and clock right now, for a total rebuild. The good part is that I dropped them off in person, it should be ready in a couple weeks. The "bad" part is that it will cost about $815.00, but I stopped counting a long time ago!- Top

By the way....
When I dropped my guages off at Corvettes Specialties of Maryland about two weeks ago, the guy at the counter asked me if I would like to see a set of '67 cluster gauges and clock that they had recently restored, so I said yes.
He took me out into the shop area where there was a car with a cover over it, which set on those roll around wheel dollies. I don't want to start any stampedes here, but when he took off the car cover, it was a '67 Marina Blue/White 427 convertible with side pipes. I checked the cluster on it, and it looked superb. The top was down and all I saw was the interior and exterior and it looked gorgeous.
I did not look under the hood or underneath the car, but the guy told me it was a NOM 435 tripower with a 4 speed and they were selling the car for a guy who just didn't drive it anymore. The price is $45,000; it has a Maryland license plate that says "Pams 435". Anyone interested should contact them for details, as I said it was for sale 2 weeks ago.- Top
