Chicken or egg?

I'm putting my 65 roadster back together and trying to avoid any more false steps. I have the windshield ready to go back in but as I look at this thing it occurs to me I might want to put the dash back in first. In the vast pool of knowledge thats out there are there any recommendations about what should go in first? Does anyone know what the factory did? Jerry

I put the dash back in first, it is easier to manuver it into place with the winshield out. Just cover up the dash while putting the windshield back in.

Dash is absolutely NO problem to install with the windshield in place. I would do the windshield first!

i'd tend to agree with wayne if by dash you mean the dash pad assembly as its presence will be somewhat in the way when installing windshield. if by dash you mean the dash cluster, the question is irrelevant.anyway, the windshield/dash pads can be installed in either order without much hassle. mike

Originally, the windshield went in first - gave more maneuvering room for the guy on the inside pulling on the dirty, gooey rope, and kept that debris off the painted dash surfaces.
