Everyone that you talked to are wrong. 1970 Corvettes with Muncie 4 speed all used a 10 spline input shaft and, consequently, a 10 spline clutch disc. 1971 to 1974 Corvettes with Muncie DID use a 26 spline input, though.
For 1970, Chevelles and Camaros with 454 and M-22 did use the 26 spline input (M-22's were converted to 26 spline befopre the other Muncie variants). It's also possible that some 1970 Chevelles and Camaros with 454 and M-21 used the 26 spline input. For 1970 Corvettes, though, all used the 10 spline input. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

With respect to Corvette clutches, there is a lot of incorrect information out there. This has been the case for a long while and originates from the clutch manufacturers incorrect application information. I don't know why thay have not corrected it.
For Corvettes (as well as the vast majority of other Chevrolet cars), input shafts for 1970 and older were all 10 spline. There were the few 1970 exceptions that I noted. Is it possible that some very late 1970 Corvettes got the 26 spline inputs? Yes, it's possible, but it certainly wasn't typical, if it occurred, at all.
Most all 1971 and later Corvettes with 4 speed used 26 spline inputs. But, there were exceptions. 1978-79 Corvettes with "Muncie" 4 speed (actually, a version of the old Saginaw 4 speed transferred to the Muncie, IN plant for manufacture) used the 10 spline input. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
