    Dash Wiring C2 65

    I,m installing a new wiring harness from Lectric. On the right side of the dash wiring I have 2 wires each with a plug on them. One is black with a white stripe, the other is black with a orange stripe on it. I cannot locate these on the wiring diagram. Anyone know where these go or what there for. Everything else went great. Thanks Mike McKenzie

    B/W sounds like the door switch for the courtesy lights. B/O may be the glove box light.

      Black w/orange or vice-versa?

      That wire sounds like the glove box light if it has a male copper spade terminal.

      The white one goes to the right door jamb switch for the courtesy light.

        Re: Black w/orange or vice-versa?

        The wires come out with the dash cluster with the dash lights, ignition swithch ect. in the right hand grouping for the instrument cluster. one is black with a white stripe, the other is black with a orange or browm possibley stripe. They are long enough to hang down below the cluster and te plugs on them are similiar to a capictor connection. Hope this may explain them better. Thanks Mike

          First you need to learn left from right. The driver side is the left.

            The individual wires in that area are the radio capacitor(brn), cluster ground(bk), and cigarette lighter(or) These are 67 colors.

              Black w/orange is the heater fan motor;

              black w/white goes to horn relay.........I think...

                I retract my comments

                I have no idea what part of the harness we're even talking about.

                Shame on me for jumping in so quick. It won't happen again.

                  Orange and black is also the lead for the clock, but thats in the center, not right or left.
