Re: How many years was Dale a C1 Judge?
Long enough to contribute enormously to the hobby and to share his knowledge freely with anyone who needed help with restoration and preservation; how sad that some so soon forget his contributions and choose to disparage him now that he's gone- Top

Re: If Dale were to respond;
Mr. Clark--
It is apparent that Dale DID have quite a few cars judged based upon the picture of the wall in his shop, so I guess you were wrong in assuming that he didn't. It is evident by your post that you have little respect for the dead. If you had something to say that opposes what Dale would have done, maybe you could have exercised a little more class in posting it.

I don't know either one of the two in question
But I did talk to Dale on Jerry Clark's deck last year in January for about two hours. Seemed like a nice fella'. Little controversial, yeah, by his own choosing, seemed like to me. Don't know Dennis at all except for his posts on this board but I never did like character asassins on the dead. Don't seem fair to me. Good post, Pasta.- Top

Re: Response apology
I have judged with Dale and I have also judged for Dennis. both are very knowledgeable and fair people. I have the upmost respect for Dennis & Dale and consider both friends & I think if Dale were reading this thread he would love the debate over color, texture, & originalty . Both Dale & Dennis enjoy correct restorations and the N.C.R.S. and have dedicated many years to the enjoyment of Corvettes. I think if Dale were alive he would not take offence ,he would jump into the debate. Lets get on with the program & put the correct black on. Bill Williamson...- Top

Re: Response apology even needed?
TC - Thanks, when I did the 25th Anniversary Issue of The Restorer, I contacted Dale to try to get the picture of the faucet - which I had seen before. He was unable to supply it. Bummer Dude. So, I went with the picture toward the end of the issue. Best I could do at the time. You do what you do. Some times its right, some times it aint. But you try... Dennis- Top
