    C1 WIRING HARNESS KIT

I am looking for a good source for a wiring kit for my 1961. Has anyone used Lectric Limited? Thanks, Joe DeLuca #37862

    Joe...

My harness was from Lectric Limited and very complete and all the wire lengths were cut properly. Several suppliers (like Corvette Central) also provide Lectric Limited.

Original harness dash bulbs sockets were metal from 53 till 62 arn't they??
All 53 to 57's I have had were. But I'v seen plastic ones used in many corvettes using repro's.Also never seen a repro 53 harness correct using Bake-a-light ends or metal.Am I right ? old farts?

        Joe,
Roy is exactly right about some of the connectors and sockets being slightly different on the repro harnesses. LL's harness however, is about as close as you can get from any vendor today and I have never taken any points an any part of one of their harness. I still have an original NOS harness in the store room that I am going to put in that special car someday, but I will continue to use the LL harness in the meantime. I have also heard good things about M&H, but have never used any of their products.

        Regards, John McGraw

I do believe LL is trying their best to do the right thing. I have been pleased and satisfied with their offerings. They have been improved over the years - IE, going from plastic bulb holders to metallic. I applaud their efforts to provide a rightous part. Are they perfect - probably not, but it seems they are trying to get it right. Dennis

By looking at the photos it has plastic bulb/lamp holders. Not the metal as originals.

Re: C1 Plastic bulb holders? Gary

I think the GM supplier may have produced a second design replacment harness using plastic holders and the repro people used it as thier model and not the original metal ones.
