Does any one have any information on where I can get the old Nitrocellulose Laquer? I would like to do a car in it again.

Long gone from the American waterfront, but still actively blended/sold in Europe. One member of our chapter brought back his 'stache' while on vacation abroad recently.... -

It can be purchased from Bill Hurish. He is located in Newark NJ and I just talked to his rep at the AACA Hershey meet on Wednesday and he has the original formulas for that paint. I need it for the restoration of my 1928 Chev. His company has a website.Comment

In addition to what others have said, nitro is still used on acoustic musical instrument restoration. So a little investigation with luthiers may generate other sources. -kComment

Jack, I'm shocked that your friend got a container of nitrocellulose lacquer in the country. It seems to me that he would have an easier time bringing in a bazooka! Lacquer--oooooohhhhh! Death!Comment
