Well, it seems that the prices are "ratcheting up" for these things. A set just "changed hands" on eBay (#2436079374) for $401, and a set of UPPERS, at that. This set consists of GM #3832160. These pieces were used for 1963, 1964 and, possibly, early 1965 Corvettes. However, they are virtually the same in appearance as those used for later models.

Joe, if I understand your post, the GM replacements are acceptable for the upper ball joints. This is good because I was not looking forward to spending as much on the uppers as I did the lowers for my 65 ($380). Ebay is an interesting format where you see bidding out pace the over the counter price on many an occasion.

All versions of the GM ball joints are virtually the same in appearance and are indiscernable from one another. However, all versions of the GM ball joints for 1963-82 Corvettes are discontinued and have been for quite some time. They all bring about the same money.
