C3 Carb and intake id numbers

First, thanks to everyone who make this a great place to get answers I am somewhat a new member. I recently purchased a 73 convertible 454 engine, It has a 69 passenger 427 in the car, the guy I baught it from said he was told the intake and carb is original. I don't belive it. The carb numbers are 07029207 and 0614 and the intake shows (353015) (k1 72) I think, and (conv 3) No idea what that is, can anyone help or tell what books to get that have ID numbers.

    Thanks again

Thanks clem, I will now check the heads maybe they used a 427 short block and saved the original heads. Any Idea of what and where the head id numbers are.

thanks again you have been a big help

The cylinder head casting numbers are found under the valve covers, so you usually need to remove them to read the casting numbers. You might get lucky and be able to "peek in" through the oil filler hole and read the numbers. Not usually, though.

you need to remove the rocker arm covers to see the casting numbers
