    62 Heater

There are 4 t-bolts that hold the heater assembly on to the firewall. For some reason GM choose to make one of the bolts shorter. I would appreciate it if someone would take a look and let me know, looking from the front, what location the short bolt is in.

    Re: 62 Heater

When standing in front of the car and viewing the firewall, the short one is inboard closest to the top of the valve cover( ie, the lower inner one). Its short length is necessary because of potential interference with the vertical spark plug ignition shielding. I recall this bit of trivia as when i installed a l-88 engine in my 57 some 30 years ago, i had to loose the stud. mike
