    C2 brake rotor splash shields

    Members,
I am shopping for a set (front & rear) brake rotor splash shields for my '65. I would like to have recommendations about who provides the best reproduction parts?

Paragon states that theirs have original part numbers and Delco-Moraine identification logo, made in USA for $32 each. Has anyone purchased them and formed and opinion?

    All information is greatly appreciated.

    Regards,
    Gene

I can't advise as to the Paragon reproductions. However, be advised that the front shields do not and never had the Delco-Moraine logo on them, so don't be disappointed if you get some fronts that don't have the logo. The original rear shields DID have the Delco-Moraine logo on them.

Also, be advised that the front shields that are available in reproduction are the 69-82 style shields. These shields are configured differently than the 65-68 style due to the fact that the spindle shaft used on 65-68 models was smaller. The 69-82 style will work on a 65-68, but they are not exactly correct. I don't know if they're "detectable" once installed on the car. I don't think that the 65-68 style shields are reproduced at this time.

For Clean, rust-free, used originals to replate, try J&D Corvette in Bellflower CA. (800) "VETTE JD." Just tell them exactly what you're looking for. They have a building full of used front suspension parts

        Joe,
Thanks for the reply. I forgot that the fronts do not have the D-M logo. Also thanks for the info. that 69-82 are different than '65.

I will obtain good used shields to replate. My plater says that my originals are going to be an expensive restoration because of significant rusting.

        Regards,
        Gene
