    difference 67 & 69 shifter

    what is the difference between a 64-67 shifter shaft and the 69 -74 sfifter shaft? Length, style etc.? Thanks.

    The only functional difference is the length of the shifter lever. The 64-67 shifter lever is longer than the 68-76.

      ------Perhaps you have that backwards?It seems to me that a 68 up shifter is longer than the earlier models.The only other comment is a sidebar;the 64 shifter arms did not have the short throw holes..........Bill S

        Yes, you're correct. I reported it "backwards". The 68-76 shifter lever is longer.

          Joe: isn't there an angle difference between the c-2 and c-3 shifters? seems to me the c-2 handle is straight and the c-3 angles a little from its attachment plane. mike

            The 68-76 shifter lever is offset somewhat to the right of the shifter blade at the bottom of the lever. The offset is accomplished by the configuration of the rectangular "block" at the base of the round shifter lever. I thought that the 64-67 shifter lever was the same in this regard, but it may not be.
