1. What is the proper way to secure the console (holds clock and controls) to the tunnel? Mine sits unsecured about 3/4" above the tunnel surface. I noted that there are two brackets on each bottom side and one on the front bottom center of the console. Are these involved in the mounting to secure it to the tunnel? And if so, how does one properly compensate for the existing space between the two units?
2. On the driver's side interior firewall, there is a circular hole about 2" in diameter that is presently glassed over. It is located about 1" above the opening for the clutch rod and about 1/2" to left of its center. It also had two bolt holes: one on each side of the opening. These too were glassed over. Was this an opening created by a previous owner and then subsequently filled or does it have some original purpose?
Thanks. Richard
