68 side pipes

I have a 68 conv. 327 4spd w/hooker headers & side pipes. One of the pipes is bad due to rust. Was wondering if I would be better off goingback to factory specs & stock type exhaust. Thanks ahead of time.

In my opinion, ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY YES! I'd replace the exhaust manifolds and exhaust pipes with standard under-car exhaust. I wouldn't hesitate for a nano-second about this decision.

Ithink it depends on what you want to do with the car. You will get more power with the headers and sidepipes. If you are doing the judging thingie you need to install manifolds and undercar exhaust.

If you choose to stay with the hookers and the side pipes are all that is bad, you can go to a truck parts house and buy your self 4" stack pipes and fabricate the brackets a lot cheaper that buying hooker parts.

Your call. What ever makes you happy, go for it.

This is some thing new and different that will bolt up to your headers,low back pressure,deep sound I'm told,spiral core 3 1/2" or 4" tubes and kick outs
