Scope used to see engine pad numbers

Does anyone have any recommendations as to what is used and where to get such a scope? I have seen one that also has a tiny light on it to light up the subject area. Thanks.

you are probably referring to a "borescope" and they cost from $1000 to $4000 for a good one. the one i lost when i had my car stolen was worth $3500. i used it on race engines to look inside the combustion chambers to check the condition of the pistons. the bastards that took it had no idea what the hell it was,but i did get the car back and my homeowners insurance paid for the borescope because that was the first thing i told the cop,i did not care about the car but i was mad about losing the borescope and it was on his report.
