I am interested in what the centrifugal and vacuum advance specs should be for 1970 LS5 Corvette. My distributor is not listed in the service manual (1969 Corvette listed as well as the specs for 454/390hp RPO LS5 Monte Carlo and Chevelle). Neither distributor matches the part number for the 1970 Corvette distributor.

Re: C3: Distributor Specs: 1111464
I believe the "360" vacuum can is 0@6", 16@12" - NAPA/Echlin replacement is VC1765. The ignition advance map might be included with the AMA/MVMA specs that are included with the GM restoration package available complimentary from Chev. Customer Service. They are for '63 - not sure about later years.

Re: C3: Distributor Specs: 1111464
Duke, Bill,
Thanks for the information. The vacuum advance can has 360 stamped on it so I think it is original. It also works (it holds under vacuum and moves the distributor vacuum advance plate). I want to generate the curve when I tune up my car and compare it to specifications. I am looking for the target spec and the allowable deviation will help, too.
Does someone have the number to Chevrolet Customer Service? I remember trying to contact them years ago but got no response. What should I ask for?Tony- Top

Tony, my original 464 distributor has a 360 can. It also has Tonowanda orange overspray on it, as well as a white "#6" written on it. Chris1969 Riverside Gold Coupe, L71, 14,000 miles. Top Flight, 2 Star Bowtie.- Top

I believe from looking at a lot of old distributors and chacking the application that you are correct re- the "6" (or whatever number is appropriate) is the initial timing setting for the distributor in the original applicationBill Clupper #618- Top
