Thoughts in regard to 63-64 TJG and Restorer Artic

Starting to get back to work on the 63 and have had a question for 3-4 years now. The 63-64 Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide #3 has a table of final monthly serial numbers and body build date codes in which my 63 fits in fine. I have S102802 with a build date of C1. But after reviewing three Restorer articles titled 63 Time Build Codes 1, 2 and 3 found in the spring 82 and winter 83 & 84 issues I found that these tables do not match. Per the table found in article 3 it would seem my build date should be B5. So, does anyone have any thoughts or insights on what S102802 should be a B5 or C1?
    Thanks

Jack, I found your letters - but typically

a copy of my response is not in the file - this was in 1999. For the benefit of anyone else who is reading this, the three articles started out as a "computation" of possible "end of the week" production for 1963 - which is the only year that refers to production codes by week and not by day.

Article 2 was an update of the first article's ranges caused by reported known cars of members. Article 3 was the same and the last done by me.

What my reply SHOULD have said (and I hope it did) was the parameters of the "B5" class were moved in article 3 by the reporting of 63 # 2832, as a "B5" - this report was from Jim Livings in Norwalk CA as part of his 50 cars - I ASSUMED it was accurate, but.....I know, for instance, that Noland Adams also has the car recorded on his computer as a B5 - but as VIN #2823 - it's the same car, though, body # 1328 coupe.

I think that 2823 has been wrongly recorded as a B5 - but to absolutely put your mind to rest, I'll send Al Grenning an e-mail asking him to compare your trim tag to his known originals and have him contact you.
