66 block question

I hate to expose my ignorance, but can someone please tell me the meaning behind the #'s: TO329TL; and 6118747. I believe they are both off the block, but am not sure about the second #.

T=Tonawanda Foundry 03 Mar '66 29 is day of the month TL (IL??) not used, but check if actually an "IL" which would be a 427-390 hp eninge with manual trans. the second number is a "VIN Derivitave 6=model year 1= starting series of corvette model year production ie 1XXXXX where 18747=last five digets of the vin of the car originally installed in (assuming unmodified configuration)

Yes, IL makes perfect sense, since it is, I belive, the 427 390. Thanks

Steve, do the last five numbers of the VIN on the title match the 18747 numbers on the engine pad? If yes, then it looks like the original engine!!!!!!
