repeat 59 suspension question

i asked this about a week ago and got no response i hope someone can help me out this time.
what color and finish are the tie rod shafts and third member supposed to be
also the tech and judging guide guide refer to the spindle supports are they refering to the the vertical arm that connects the upper and lower control arms and house the kingpins?

If you take an original car and degrease the front end you will find bare metal and a number of colored marks that some people go nuts over. The problem is that once assembled this whole front end assembly got a shot of low grade paint after being assembled, so all the wonderful little colors and such are generally obscured by the black paint. That is, until the next person degreases the front suspension ,and with it removes the low grade paint in the process.

Yes, the spindle support is the verticle member that connect the upper and lower control arms (A-frames). None of the parts you mentioned get paint. They are bare metal and there was no blackout operation after it was assembled, the General wouldn't have spent the money to do it if it didn't add value to the car. I just went round and round about this and its the best answer I can give.
