    67 A ARM DUST S HIELDS

Different vendors offer slightly different shaped A arm dust shield. Some have a hole punched in them where they hinge to slip over the A arm and some don't(Long Island). I am looking at the ones in Paragon's catalogue, which have the hole. I only want to install these once, and was hoping someone could tell me who offers these in the correct configuration.

    Rob -

If you mean the "notch" at the front and rear of the shield, those are correct; without the "notch" at each end, they won't fold properly under the inboard end of the upper control arm.

Don't worry about the cut shape

Just try to find shields made of the right material. You probably won't. Everybody is apparently using the same stuff. The reproduction flaps have a much rougher surface than original shields.

Actually, I meant the small hole (about 1/4") where the vertical slots ends. Right where they actually hinge. Some have it...some don't.

rob: original a arm shields had the small(believe they were closer to 1/8" in diameter)hole punched in the upper corners. mike

              Re: Correct material

              Gents,
If it is a true statement that the repro shields are not made from correct material, where can "correct" material be purchased? We can always cut out own splash shields.

              Thanks,
              Gene
