Can anyone tell me what year/years and engine came factory equipped with "9 fin" valve covers? Thank you!

The 9 fin aluminum valve covers were used on 225 and 240 hp 1956 Corvettes and early 1957 Corvettes with 245, 250, 270 and 283 hp engines. They were not used on any other models and ALL 9 fin covers have the "offset" bolt mounting pattern.In Appreciation of John Hinckley -

Carl, All '56 2 X 4 BBL and '57 2 X 4 BBL and FI's until approximatly vin 2000 used 9 rib aluminum covers. From vin 2000 to approximately 4500 both 9 rib and 7 rib covers were interchanged.Comment
