I have tried several ways to get the vent window and door glass back in a 64 coupe. I had the door glass in then tried to install the vent window, can't do. Installed vent window and then tried glass with the rear runner installed can't do; tried with the rear runner out then installed the runner without the liner and all was good until I tried to install the liner. Got the the top half around the window but could not get it into the runner with the glass in place. I know there has to be simplier method to doing this. Looked at the assembly manual and the 63 GM Service Manual, which shows removing glass but not for a coupe. Talks about it but the pictures are for a roadster.

Re: Door Glass Installation Mid-Year Coupe
Hi Dennis,
I have not done mine but I plan on installing the top window felts which snap in, then the vent window and frame followed by the window and regulator. Do not try to install the lower rear window track until after you install the window because this way you will have enough room to lower the window into the door and slide it forward into the front track. After that try raising the window to a closed position and then install the rear lower channel through the side access hole. I hope this helps you out. Tim B- Top
