I remember by sitting in the driver seat(provided you are looking forward)-driver is left and passenger is right

Re: Right or left odd or even

GM solved this situation by assigning part #s with the last number odd as being the driver side and even number being the passenger side.

          Donald-----

For the MOST PART and covering about 99.5% of the cases, that's the way it was/is. However, there are exceptions. It's not a hard-and-fast rule.

Both are the same. While facing forward only.

Donald is right 13579 numbers are L/S and 24680 numbers are R/S, but if the part can be used on eather side or it's a one time pieace like your steering wheel it can end with any odd or even number.

Re: Not a Hard and Fast Rule

For instance the 65 interior door pull is numbered like you would expect with the odd number on the LH side, but when this part was reused on the 69-75 cars it was used on opposite sides, thus the numbers are reversed.
