    67 BB valve covers

My BB valve covers are chrome ( came with the car ). I want to have it original looking so they should be red/orange. Can I paint the chrome ones? Or do I have get others?

    Thanks,

Yes, bead blast them using light pressure about 50 to 60 psi then zinc chromate prime them and finally paint chevy orange. The blasting should not remove the chrome just provide a texture for paint adhesion.

        Roger,

Gene's post is probably the best, least expensive way for you to go since the VC's are yours.

What I would like to offer is that you check out what exactly you might have since beginning in 68 "versions" of chrome VC's progressively changed and you might have something worth selling or trading for exactly what you need. Just a suggestion. Tom #24014
