There is no single best book. Invariably, each book has mistakes. The latest in NCRS Pocket Spec books have left out a few, the old ones hadn't found a few. Then of course, they are only Corvette, so you find a lot of parts that are not in them.

Then many of the Chevrolet parts books are too general. Often they list a part as "1968 -- Corvette, Passenger, truck" and that is true, but maybe only on the 300 hp '68 Corvette with automatic and not on the others.

The "best" is an assortment. Most you can buy through NCRS and get a nice discount. Some you will only find at swap meets, old book stores, and eBay.

Here is a link to a list of books for Corvette and Chevrolet. Also, browse the NCRS library in the back of each Driveline.

I agree with all above. Please consider Noland Adams' books as well as the Chevy by the Number's series (Not exact name). The Chevy by Numbers series gives great data on engine parts and stampings. It gives more than just Corvette data. If you are like me if I see something on a Corvette and it not a Corvette part I like to know exactly where it was used in the Chevrolet line. If you stick with only Corvette books you will not get that information.
