1963 registry run by Larry Brooks Hickory NC

Thirty years ago I participated in Larry Brooks 1963 VIN registry. Is he still in the hobby? Back then it had 550 cars listed. That was 2 1/2% of production and in order of VIN it showed how Z06 and other such early-late changes and introductions occurred. Is there such a more current list today?

only Z06 registry i'm aware of currently active is the one run by bob jones, nine mile falls, wa at 509 466 1955 or classicbob@citlink.net. he has 28 small tankers and 49 NO-3's logged in. Sends a newsletter out once or twice year as new z06's are turned in to him . mike

Re: What did he do with the 1963 registry?

I ran across those articles in Vette Magazine(?) about a year ago as I was getting a bunch of magazines ready to sell. I read several that he had, but the last one I believe he said he was stopping at that point. It was published, the results listed, and that was it. If enough information came forth on its own (in other words, he didn't have to sweat bullets to get it again), he would update.

I remember thinking I should keep those, but the information he had compiled was listed in other sources such as Noland Adams CRTG Vol II, the NCRS Spec Books, and the Genuine Corvette Black Book.

So while it was ground-breaking at the time, I believe it has all been merged into other more current books.
