Has anyone here had any work done or any experience with John's Corvette of Laconia, NH? I'm thinking of having him do some work for me.

Re: C-3 work reference
Keith, my car caught fire while in a shop in Louisiana.
Here are my suggestions:
1. Get at least 3 references of customers from past 12 months.
Name and phone numbers or e-mail.
This is a must. If shop won't give you this, start walking, fast.
2. If 1. checks out, then discuss what is their written estimate fee.
3. If work is to be done by the shop of choice, then arrange a payment schedule.
This should include a hold back amount, along with a time schedule.
4. Talk to other corvette club members about shop in question.
I didn't do no.1, and the shop said my radio caused fire, and refused to take
any help in matter. They even refused to have their insurance examine the car.
My insurance settled with me.
Suggestion no.2 if very important, otherwise once they start, you are in for the
long haul:$$$$$$$$$$$$
Good Luck Big John
P.S. I am having my car repaired (fire) 2-1/2 hours away from me, but the
shop first class. References, weekly e-mails progress reports, Photoes. Pay when fixed. Yes there is a guardian angel out there.- Top

Re: C-3 work reference
Thanks! I've been asking around about them. Everyone seems to hear good things, but I haven't spoken with any of their customers which is my next step. I'm going to meet them tomorrow to get a written estimate.
Good advice, especially since I've been burned before.- Top
