    Thanks for your reply. I'll check the bulkhead connector. Any idea which wire is the one I'm looking for" I know the wire connections to the micro awitches are greay with a blue or black stripe. is this the same wire I should look for at the bulk head connector?

    Hood up, looking at firewall, outboard of the two plugs, top right (of 2 vertical rows of 4 terminals) should be the black/with grey stripe. (At least that's what shows in my '65 electrical diagram, and '63 thru'65 headlamp wiring harnesses are the same part #).

    With the headlight switch pulled fully on, you should get 12 volts at this terminal.
