I just got a new set of steel brake lines for my 67 and noticed that the fittings that attatch to the master cylinder are color coded. Orange for the front and blue for the rear. Is this correct? I know 69's were color coded but the 67 JM makes no mention of color coding.

Yes, and it can be rather easily removed from current-day reproductions if one so chooses. However, I think that the originals used for 1967 were dyed. It's just as you say-----the dye "went away" long before folks got interested in restoration of these cars, so folks assumed that it was never there. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
