I have a Sunfire yellow 1966 big block 427 425 HP roadster with the correct motor in the garage, not in car, running a LS 6 now, side pipes, Kelsey Hayes knock-offs, very nice Driver, with the orginal Protect-o-plate. I am looking at a 1967 Maroon roadster with the correct 427 400 Hp motor in it and the orginal tank sticker still on the tank, side pipes also and a real nice driver. Which will be worth more in the long run?? I would have to sell the 66 to but the 67. 66 has a little more motor and options but a 67 is a 67. What do you guys think. Thanks Larry

Re: 1966 vs 1967 worth/value
Larry,
Terry is right. According to the June 2003 issue of Old Cars Price Guide, the two cars are withing $2500 of one another in value. (Condition 1, and all other add-ons being equal).
Considering that the '66 does not have the original motor installed in the car and running, I would expect that you would have to sell it at a discount (from book value), this may make your out-of-pocket expense far greater than the $2,500 between the two cars.
Hope this helps.
