A note for the Mason Dixson Chapter. I drove 200 miles round trip in my 58 Saturday to see the Corvette Drags @ Cecil Co. and I was not disappointed. Great job once again. Anyone who has not attended this event should make sure they attend next year!
Hello Bob; Thank you for the kind words. This was the eighth year for Vintage Thunder. Every year, it keeps getting both bigger and better. We had approximately 130 Corvettes throughout the day, and shared some time with our "buddies" from the Nostalgia Drag Racing Association. It was really great seeing a wheelstanding 41 Willys gasser, and a 62 "dual quad" 409 running against a "super stock" dodge 413 wedge. Al Schwacke from Delaware Valley even brought his 55 Corvette road race car. I finally broke the 14 second barrier and ran a 13.85 with the 69 big block. We're negotiating for the same weekend at Cecil County Dragway next year. Chuck
