    C2 - bumper bracket question

I re-installed my newly chromed bumpers two years ago. Funny things I do, but in looking, i.e. admiring, them (fronts) recently, I noticed the bolts that attach the bumpers to the longitundinal channel supports were mounted with the nuts located out-board.

Question: Is this proper, or should the nuts be on the inside, facing one another?

    Thanks.

    From the '67 JG book....

"....There are tubular spacers inside the bumber brace through which bolts pass. The trheads point outboard."

Says you have the orientation right (bolt head inboard & nuts on thread outboard)!
