    New to NCRS

I have a 62' numbers correct car that has been through a frame off restoration with regard to originality, but not to NCRS authenticity. I've just started to inspect the car and found two things that I'm starting with until I receive the NCRS manuals I ordered today, the first thing is the seat belts and the second is the parking brake warning light switch. I have the switch, but not the attaching bracket.

Can anyone help me with good sources for the above parts and any others?

    Thanks in Advance

    William:

Welcome aboard. There are many mail order parts houses that have parts for your Corvette, here are a few:

    Paragon www.paragon.com
    Zip www.zip-corvette.com
    Doctor Rebuild www.docrebuild.com
    Corvette Central www.corvettecentral.com
    Al Knoch www.alknochinteriors.com
    Eckler's www.ecklers.com
    Trim Parts www.trimparts.com

there are many others, and there are a few that only sell midyear parts, but this should help you get started.

    Enjoy!

      Bill,
The correct parking brake switch will have the bracket attached to the switch.
The bracket is a clamshell arangement with one half of the bracket which is the body of the switch. Mary Jo Rohner is allways a good source for such rare parts.
Be prepared however, as the price of a correct switch will astound you!

Welcome William, you're going to get a lot of valuable info here as I have during the past three years I've been restoring the 60 I've owned since 1990.
Regarding the brake light switch, I agree with John. First, it is about the only part I could not find on the open market in either NOS or reproduction. Mary Jo is probably the best source for the really rare parts. If you can find one in any condition, jump on it.

You might want to place a want ad in the driveline. That emergency switch is tough to come by, but just maybe a fellow member might want to sell one. Never hurts to ask! If you have a numbers matching car you will want to be very careful of repo parts, make sure before you buy you can return if it is not exactly as you would like. Lots of companies advertise "exact" replica, but that's seldom the case. If in doubt ask on this board, you will get more than enough info from the knowledgable people on this board.

And Welcome, you will enjoy, it's an addiction!!
