URGENT RESPONSE REQUESTED - BB ignition shield

Hello,

I have a rather easy ( I hope ) question that I hope one or more members can
set me straight on. I'm currently restoring a 69 427/435hp engine and I need
to source the correct ignition shielding. Between 1967 to 1969, are the shields
the same? If not exactly, can any pieces be used interchangeably? I have a
line on a 67 setup, but I need to know for sure if it is correct. Any help
would be much appreciated.

HOLY COW! Anytime I see URGENT RESPONSE REQUESTED I think I am receiving another email from Quesi Motumbo, the Nigerian Minister of Excess Spending saying he needs help moving $34,000,000 to a protected account and can I help him if he gives me a substantial amoutn of money.

The 1967 big block shielding is COMPLETELY different than the 69. So, you can forget about using it on a 1969 unless you want the judges to die laughing.

In any event, the 68-69 shielding is all the same, big block or small block, EXCEPT the "tang" on the face of the front distributor shield which contacts the air cleaner for grounding is configured differently for tri-carb cars than for cars with four barrel carbs. Since this "tang" is rivetted to the shield, you need to get the right one. Both are reproduced.

Old Quesi moved to Dubai I know because he just sent a check to my bank for $87,000.00. What a nice guy! Paid me $ more than I was even asking. We need more people like that. Then came that URGENT email. Someone had made a typo but "not worry just send a refund by wire yes?" I don't think so! Then the gong went off, old Quesi boy must be playin on me. As I dragged my feet on the refund, you know, he just became very indignant. Now I just have a copy of that rubber check hanging on the wall. To remind me to never get in a hurry when it comes to money.
