I've been through this before as a Harley owner since the early seventies. Suddenly they were fashionable (difference is that Corvette's were always fashionable) and the prices soared and the era of Harley underwear and poor riding arrived. Now Harley is all the rage but the demographics are ominous. Kids can't afford them, and in this aspect old corvettes are even more so. So I'm taking my buddies daughter out this weekend and teaching her to drive my 66 BB. Am I nervous? Oh yeah! but I'll be right there and control the situation as carefully as I can and the reward has already started because the way her eyes lit up when I offered her the drive made my day. If we all took one kid and went out of our way to include him or her we would be doing these old cars that we love a tremendous favor. We can do it pretty safely, and we can have some fun doing it. or we can watch the real love of these cars die out as we pass on.

That was a great post because I do the same with the younger people I know and trust.Even while attending NCRS meets people that say how's it drive, I ask them , do you won't to drive her. And to see thier face, like WHAT! Hay I drive my 55 Corvette every where and would trust a NCRS menbers to drive mine around to really feel a 55 under thier Ass.I also met a few other NCRS menbers that let me to the same.( but few).
