    Re: cut and copy

The DB website will not accept posted graphics. You do the 'deed' by taking your picture to one of the many picture servers on the internet, posting it, then including in your DB post the ISP dirrective to link the reader to the distant server with your picture/graphics on it.

There are quite a few for-fee graphics servers out there and there are a number of servers that offer, short term, free picture posting. E.g. most of the major manufacturers of digital cameras offer such facilities to promote the sale of their camera products....

For some reason you can't do that on this forum.

On 99% of the internet forums (go to any popular Corvette forum to see it in action) you simply post your picture on whatever website you like that allows external references. Most photo sharing websites have specific code to prevent external references for rendering however. What I recommend is verifying this or the simplest is your own ISP. Odds are they include a 'free' web space area for you that is perfect for this.

You upload your image your ISP's free web space. THis can can be done thru simple drag and drop on your desktop too makeing it purely a mouse function.

Then you make a post on a BBS that allows image sharing. You make either what is called an "HREF IMG" command in teh post or more than likely you use the BBS own command - usually something like "IMG" followed by the address to your ISP and voila! - your image is shared right there in your post. You will have to type or paste in the URL address to your ISP and your account.

I'm still very surprised this isnt' allowed here. It would be fantastic for folks to snap shots of all kinds of technnical nuances and discuss technical aspects of images.

If what I wrote 'sounds' hard or technical - it's actually not - but it's academic at this point anyway unfortunately.
