what is it suppossed to look like after its painted smooth rough after i painted mine it was sort of rough and i could see through to the fiberglass especially under the front area and valance is that whaat it is sopposed to be like?

sounds like you have it the way it left st. louis. The blacked-out fiberglass pieces in the engine compartment and the those in the vicinity of the core support and grill were not primed and sanded before satin black painted. normal to see the fiberglass fiberous strands imbedded in the resin. mike
