do the bolts that attach the deck lid and the trunk have the same markings? (1961). Thanks as always, Joe DeLuca #37862

Yes--generally a dished head, flange head bolt, with an anchor symbol inside the dish.

Mike..I'm claiming ignorance about explanation you offered regarding Lid & trunk bolts. I'm a chemistry teacher & corvette enthusiast with a '61. I can offer alot of chemical expertise, but my new hobby is ever expanding and still a learning experience. What exactly is meant by " dished head " , "flanged head boltb & anchor symbol inside the dish" mean exactly ???. I recently achieved a local chapter TOP FLIGHT (1/21) for my '61 with the aid of your emergency brake switch & bracket., but I am always looking to learn more. Please define.... Thanks Bruce #39024

Bruce, I can help with this as I have a 1960 with similar bolts. The dished head bolt has a "lip" around the circumference of the bolt head. i.e. the bolt head would hold a couple of drops of water if dropped on top of the bolt head. The base of the bolt head flares out and forms a "built in" washer a few millimeters larger in diameter than the bolt head. The "anchor" is just that. A tiny "anchor" symbol in the center of the bolt head that represents the manufacturers identification since it would be impossible to put the manufacturer's company name on the top of the bolt head. Hope this helps.
