    '66 Carpet vendors

I've heard good things about the quality of carpets sold by Romeo Engineering, but it appears they don't make a carpet for 65-67. Is this true? Or am I misreading their website? If they don't make sets for 65-67, what vendors out there do people recommend for '66 black carpets with the correct weave?

    Thanks,

    Gary

Gary, I used Al Knoch carpets for my 66 with standard black interior. I was very happy with the look and quality.

I think that you will probably find Auto Custom Carpet products very acceptable. Their carpet material used to be the closest to OEM of any of the repro's

        Still IS Dick!

        Dick,

Glad to see someone post up the REAL answer to the question!

Hoping to see you in Florida in January.

Can say what I want to since I ain't a vendor anymore. When Jack still owned it and Vickie worked at ACC we went to them with differences (i.e. heel pads, cuts, etc) in OEM and ACC carpet. She would see to it that it was corrected in production. They always had the "can do" attitude and would try to be as correct as possible.

Thanks. Are they pretty good at correct colors? The reason I ask is something like '71 Green isn't always done right in some cases. I've sometimes seen various shades depending on the vendor/product...?

            thanks again for the referral.

From our experience, their colors are "right on". You will see minor variances between dye lots, but the basic color is usually ok.

                ACC carpet sets; follow-up question

Does anyone know if the ACC carpet sets include the underlayment
material? The price for their carpet set ($310) is higher than other vendors if it doesn't include everything you need. Also, does anyone know if the underlayment material looks like the original GM stuff? Also, any idea if ACC has an NCRS discount?

                Thanks,

                Gary
